Focus On the Road Ahead So you Don't Roll Over the Cliff

Have you ever been driving a car through the mountains and come up on a sharp turn with a never ending cliff on one side? Pretty scary isn't it? How about trying it on a motorcycle? The first time you try it, the fear can be paralyzing. Most people have probably experienced an approach to a treacherous turn where it's very hard to not look down or get distracted by the beautiful sweeping landscapes in the valley below. Sometimes the road ahead even gets narrower with a steep incline or decline to add to the fun. The only way to get down that road and around the corner comfortably is to look ahead to where you're going and relax. Your car and/or motorcycle will naturally follow your focus, just as it will if you continue to look over the cliff with fear. This same concept has a direct parallel to our travels through life with challenging decisions and events happening around us that have the ability to fear us into paralysis. The idea of looking ahead to your goals and not focusing on the perils around you is the same as while you're driving. If you constantly look at the dangers and challenges in fear you aren't likely to make clear decisions, whether it's personal or business. So, keep focused on the road ahead, look for opportunities and by all means, ENJOY THE RIDE!
