Dan Kreh

Manager – Washington DC Region, PP&C SME

Dan Kreh is based in Northern Virginia and oversees the DMV area - Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. His undergrad degree is in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland and he has a masters in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Dan started off his career as civilian for the Navy at NAVAIR working as a controls systems engineer supporting the V-22 helicopter. One of Dan’s rotations landed him at the cost department, where he was first introduced to scheduling as an Integrated Project Management cost/schedule analyst.

Since joining ClearPlan (TruePlan at that time) in 2014, Dan has supported several unique and exciting assignments. From traveling to Romania and Poland providing onsite support for base construction and system integration with the Missile Defense Agency’s Aegis Ashore Program. To packing up his family and driving across country to Santa Barbara, CA for a few years to be a site lead for an F-18 FMS program with Raytheon. To finally coming back to Washington DC to be the region lead and working NASA Artemis Programs: being part of Blue Origin’s bidding team for the Human Lander System and then working the Habitation and Logistics Outpost program.

Dan’s primary area of expertise is in Program Planning/Scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM). For Planning/Scheduling, he is most experienced in Microsoft Project, but he is also skilled in OpenPlan and Primavera. He has years of experience in EVM on both, the Government and contractor side, and had the unique challenge of implementing EVM on multiple Agile programs. As a side hobby which benefits his work, Dan picked up developing Visual Basic for Applications/Macros and has become quite skilled at it.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys rock climbing, stand-up paddleboarding, tinkering with home brewing and has picked up kiteboarding. On weekends, he and his family often venture out to nearby Shenandoah mountains for an afternoon of hiking and wine tasting. A random fact about Dan: he always has island music or Gipsy King radio on while working, a pleasure he (happily) blames on Santa Barbara’s Old Spanish Days festivals.
