ClearPlan’s EVMS 101 course introduces Program Control staff to Earned Value Management, as applied in DoD contracting. Students, through instruction and hands-on exercises, learn the basics of EVM, gain an understanding of the EVM Process Areas and Guidelines, and calculate and present findings based on key EVM analytics and KPIs. 

This Public Seminar is ideal for new cost/schedule employees such as a PM, CAM, project cost analyst, Earned Value analyst, or project scheduler to supplement their EVMS foundation. It would be a great refresher for anyone working on an Earned Value project, including projects with customer reporting requirements as well as internal ones.

The main topics are the 5 EVM process areas and 32 guidelines, the triple constraint of projects, EVM terminology and calculations, operating an EVM-focused business cadence, working with Control Accounts/CAMs, maintaining compliance, and using analytics to spot trends/simplify communication with project teams. As with all of ClearPlan's training courses, our EVMS 101 Public Seminar will be instructor-led, hands-on, and class sizes are kept small in order to ensure all students master each topic as they matriculate through the class.
